Why Major in Crop Protection Technology

Students completing this program will have the technical skills to operate, calibrate, and maintain agriculture chemical application equipment. Operators can earn an annual income of $35,000 to $45,000 per year. Opportunities for growth and advancement within the agriculture business exists for qualified individuals.

The Agribusiness Management Program offers classroom instruction and laboratory exercises coupled with supervised on-the-job experience to prepare students for employment.

Special program features include:

  • Instructors with practical expertise in their areas of specialization
  • Supervised on-the-job experience during both first and second years of the program
  • Minimum of 11 elective hours of coursework, allowing students to specialize in their areas of interest
  • Practical two-week summer session
  • 10-week fourth semester enabling students to secure full-time employment on or around April 1
  • A majority of courses are in agriculture or are agriculture-related.
