Biography

Hi, my name is Ahibek Habona. I come from a large family of seven and am currently living in Rock Island. I am a sophomore at the Quad-Cities Campus working on my Associate in Arts degree and hopefully I will be graduating in the summer of 2025. I chose Black Hawk College because it allowed me to study close to home and was an affordable start to my college education. I’m a workaholic and currently work three jobs. One of my jobs is bartending where I meet a diverse range of people and often build a rapport with regular customers, making it a vibrant social environment. Plus, I’m an athlete doing unaffiliated track and field where I compete at meets without a team. Consequently, I also enjoy boxing and martial arts.
