Ways to De-Stress on Campus

As finals begin and end, it is important to take steps to de-stress mentally and physically. To prepare for tests, Black Hawk College has tutoring centers that can help students study several subjects such as math, English, Spanish and more.

If you want to meet with a tutor, visit the Tutoring Center at the East Campus (Building A, Room 132) or the Quad-Cities Campus (Building 1, under the library).

Tutoring might make you feel less stressed about finals season, but the Zen Zone is filled with nothing but peacefulness.

Come to the Zen Zone to use the massage chair/neck massager, grab a snack or fidget toy, and speak with a peer mentor if need be. The Zen Zone at the Quad-Cities Campus is in Building 1, Room 368 and at the East Campus it’s in Building A, Room 226A.

No matter how stressful life gets, it is important to take the steps to properly unwind.
