Empowerment Through Awareness – Mental health conference

Join us for Empowerment Through Awareness, a conference dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being.

Learn about holistic approaches, brain and body health, suicide awareness, and much more from experts and local community leaders.

Keynote speaker:

  • Detective Jamie Shoemaker, Geneseo Police Department
    Making an IMPACT on Your Community – Mental health and substance use within the community and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.

  • Interoception: Tuning Into You to Manage Stress & Anxiety – Stephanie Phares, HSc, MOTR/L
  • Understanding Mental Health and Wellbeing, Utilizing Bodily Systems and Relational Framework – Breann Hirst, LISW, LCSW

Registration fee:

  • Public – $40
  • BHC employee – $25 (must call to register)
  • BHC student – $20 (must call to register)

Includes light breakfast, lunch and a professional certificate of attendance.

Professional and Continuing Education credits – 5.25 hours awarded (Consult your governing rules to determine if appropriate subject matter criteria will apply to credit hours and check with your issuing state or licensure board for approval.)
