Robin Moreland Memorial Ranch Series – Oct. 26

The Black Hawk College IHSA Western Equestrian Team is excited to host the Robin Moreland Memorial Ranch Series on Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Ag Arena at the East Campus.
Please note – Early arrival is Friday after 4 p.m. The arena will open Saturday at 6 a.m. The trail course will be set at 7 a.m. and available for practice until 8:30 a.m. Start time is 9 a.m.
Hi Point Buckles
Awarded to the highest point earner in each division – Novice, Walk/Trot, Youth, Adult and Select. Exhibitors must attend both shows to be eligible.
Special Events
Team Ranch Riding – Oct. 26
$10
Partner with a friend and compete on the same horse. Rider 1 will ride the first half of the pattern. Rider 2 will ride the second half of the pattern. The highest-scoring team wins the class.
Ranch Challenge – Nov. 16
$25
Exhibitors will compete in the Ranch Confirmation and Working Western Rail, staying in the arena while tacking for the riding portion. A prize goes to the first person mounted.
Stalls are available for $45. (Shavings included.) To reserve stalls, email irishr@bhc.edu.
Haul-in fee is $20 per horse. Haul-in fee waived for stalled horses.
Entry fees are cash only.

About the Robin Moreland Memorial Ranch Series
The series is a fundraiser for the Western Equestrian Team with a portion of the proceeds going to the Robin Moreland Endowed Equine Scholarship.
Robin managed the BHC barn and horse herd for many years. She was a knowledgeable horsewoman who modeled strength and kindness while educating and developing students in the equestrian program.
