The faculty and staff at Black Hawk College East Campus are nothing short of amazing! They do their very best to ensure that students are prepared, and they are always there to lend a helping hand.
What did you enjoy about Black Hawk College or your time here?
The family environment at Black Hawk College East Campus is something that will stick with me forever. The feeling of having something in common with everyone is awesome and makes the transition into college so much easier!
What are you planning on doing when you graduate?
I am going to teach agriculture classes and hopefully continue to spread my passion for the ag industry to future generations!

How did Black Hawk College prepare you for a four-year school?
I got a foot in the door when it comes to living away from home. Black Hawk College still provided me with a small town, family atmosphere that I wanted when choosing a college.
What did you enjoy about Black Hawk College or your time here?
I loved being a part of the competitive teams as well as all the student-run organizations. My favorite was the student Ag Ambassador team.
What are you planning on doing when you graduate?
I plan on teaching agricultural education at a rural high school. My goal is to make agricultural education a required course in high schools.

How did Black Hawk College prepare you for a four-year school?
I met some lifelong mentors and friends at Black Hawk College that were the first people I went to when I transferred to Iowa State. The networking and life skills that I learned in class, labs and club activities have expanded my knowledge and continued to shape me into the person I am today.
What did you enjoy about Black Hawk College or your time here?
I enjoyed our Ag Ambassador team the most. The opportunities to represent our school and give back at not only local schools and events but also at the national level, recruiting students to our school for our well-known programs and teams.
What are you planning on doing when you graduate?
I want to return to my hometown and practice veterinary medicine.
