Forty-five Black Hawk College student-athletes have been named to the Athletic Director’s Academic List for achieving a 3.25 GPA or higher during the Spring 2022 semester.
The 45 student-athletes on the list represent 44% of BHC players. To qualify for the list, student-athletes must be taking at least 12 credit hours.
The women’s basketball team had the highest percentage of players on the list – 82% of the team achieved a 3.25 GPA or higher for the semester.
Next was softball with 67% then baseball with 64%.
“I am extremely proud of these student-athletes” said Arnie Chavera, BHC athletic director.
“Despite the challenges of juggling their classwork, practices, games, jobs and community service, they have persevered and demonstrated a commitment to their education,” he said.
