The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) has recognized Black Hawk College District #503 in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-15 of the Public Community College Act. This status is granted to community college districts which meet the ICCB standards and affirms the district’s eligibility to receive state grants appropriated by ICCB. This status continues through Sept. 30, 2027.
The Certificate of Recognition is issued as evidence that the educational program of Black Hawk College District #503 meets the criteria and standards prescribed by the Illinois Community College Board. The Black Hawk College district includes all or part of nine counties in northwestern Illinois – Bureau, Henderson, Henry, Knox, Marshall, Mercer, Rock Island, Stark and Whiteside counties.
