The Associate in Arts (AA) degree at Black Hawk College is designed to provide students with a solid foundation for transferring to a four-year college or university. This degree program is ideal for students who are planning to pursue a specific major at their transfer institution or are still exploring their academic interests. By completing the general education core curriculum and introductory courses within the AA program, students can seamlessly transition to their chosen major upon transferring. Black Hawk College recently hosted the 7th Annual T-Joint Fillet Weld Invitational at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee.
MaryBeth Stopoulos, assistant professor of biology, received the Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member Award at the Black Hawk College Board of Trustees’ February 2025 meeting.
